What's legal scholarship? Most legal scholarship is published in law schools that are part of universities. Legal scholarship can have many goals. Some people write to change how judges, lawyers, lawmakers or regulators to use law to make the world more just. Other people write to show what actions the law requires or prohibits. And others write to make laws more fair not by interpreting pre-existing law, but by arguing for new laws and systems. (Source: American Bar Association) People use the term "law review article" because the author is "reviewing" the law and its impact in the world.
